Vegan Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Donut Recipe

When you started on your active lifestyle journey, you may have thought that you would never be able to eat another delicious donut. Well, guess again!

Indulgence doesn’t always have to be associated with cheat days, especially with this vegan chocolate peanut butter protein donut recipe! And, yes, they’re healthy! With simple ingredients and an easy-to-make recipe, you’ll love making this nutritiously delicious treat!


  • ¼ cup melted coconut oil

  • ½ cup unsweetened apple sauce

  • ¼ cup honey

  • ½ cup cocoa powder

  • 2 scoops Puremark Natural’s Chocolate Vegan Protein

  • 1 vegan egg, or 1 tsp egg replacer

  • 1 tbsp ground flax seed

  • ¼ tbsp sea salt

  • 1 ½ tsp baking soda

  • 1 cup brown rice flour

  • ¼ cup almond milk

  • ½ tsp pure vanilla extract

  • ¼ cup water, if needed



  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Place all the ingredients into a large mixing bowl and blend together. If the batter is too thick to easily pour into a donut dish, then add water until it has a brownie-batter-like consistency.

  3. Grease a donut baking pan and pour in the batter.

  4. Let them bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes. Remove once baked and allow them to cool down.


Frosting ingredients:

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter of your choosing

  • ½ cup vegan margarine

  • 2 cups powdered sugar

  • 3 tablespoons soy milk


Frosting recipe:

  1. Mix all ingredients together with a blender.

Add the soy milk one tablespoon at a time to avoid making the frosting too watery.
